# Changes and safety

What a Read and manage connection can change, how you approve it, how to see and undo it, and the limits that keep a mistake small.

A connection made with **Read and manage** can keep three things for you: **watchlists**, **notes on a stock’s chart** (with a reminder), and **alerts**. Everything else stays read-only, on every connection.

## What it can change

|                 | It can                                                                                       | It can’t                                                                                     |
| --------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Watchlists | Create one; add or remove a stock, on your main list or one named | Rename or delete a whole list |
| Chart notes | Write a note on a stock’s chart for a day, up to 1,000 characters, with an optional reminder | Edit or delete notes, draw lines on the chart |
| Alerts | Create a price, daily-move, portfolio-value or reminder alert; pause, resume or delete one | Alerts on events or on lines drawn on a chart |
| Everything else | — | Trades, cash, your account, your settings, your connections, a free-text message to Telegram |

The alert kinds it can create: a price **above**, **below** or **crossing** a level; a stock moving **at least a percentage in a day**, either way; your **portfolio’s value** above or below an amount, or its **day’s move**; and a **reminder** at a time you give.

## You approve each change

360marketview marks every tool that changes something as a change, and removals as removals. Your AI app uses that to ask you first:

- **ChatGPT** asks before each change. You can let it remember your answer for the rest of the conversation; a new conversation asks again.
- **Claude** asks the first time it uses each tool. **Always allow** lets it use that tool again without asking — choose it only for tools you are happy to let run.

The server also tells the app to change something **only when you asked for it in the conversation** — never because a web page, a document or another tool’s answer told it to.

If you ask an AI app to act on a web page or a file someone sent you, read each change it proposes before you approve it. Text written to look like an instruction is a known way to trick AI apps.

## See it, undo it

Everything a connection makes carries its name in 360marketview:

- **Added by ChatGPT** (or the name you gave the connection) on a watchlist’s stocks, alerts, chart notes and calendar notes, with **Undo** — it asks once, then removes it;
- **Made by ChatGPT** on a watchlist it created.

Each change is also recorded against the connection that made it.

## Safe to repeat

Asking twice does not make two of anything where it shouldn’t:

- adding a stock that is already on the list changes nothing;
- creating a watchlist with a name you already use returns that list (names are compared ignoring case);
- pausing a paused alert, or resuming one that is on, changes nothing.

Notes and alerts are always new — ask for one once.

## Limits on changes

| Limit                                                        | Value                                                     | When it’s reached                              |
| ------------------------------------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------- |
| Changes per connection                                       | 10 a minute                                               | `MCP_WRITE_RATE_LIMITED` — wait a minute       |
| New watchlists, notes and alerts per account | 20 in any 24 hours (a note with its reminder counts once) | `MCP_DAILY_LIMIT` |
| Alerts switched on, when a connection creates or resumes one | 50 | `MCP_ALERT_LIMIT` — pause or delete some first |
| Your account’s own limits                                    | 200 alerts; 30 watchlists of up to 300 stocks             | the app’s own message                          |

## Telegram

A note’s reminder or an alert can tell you on Telegram only if your account has Telegram connected (**Settings › Notifications**). If it isn’t, the app answers `TELEGRAM_NOT_LINKED` and nothing is made. If Telegram is connected but paused, the change is made and the app is told it won’t reach you there yet. By default, alerts and reminders tell you in 360marketview.
