Nasdaq-100
An index of the 100 largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq exchange.
Banks and other financial companies are left out, and the rest are weighted by market value. Many of the largest technology companies are listed on Nasdaq, so the index leans heavily towards technology.
It is not the same as the Nasdaq Composite, a wider index of the shares listed on Nasdaq.
