Weight

A holding's share of the portfolio's total value, as a percentage.

A holding's weight is its market value divided by the portfolio's total value. A holding worth $1,200 in a $4,000 portfolio weighs 30%.

Weight tells you how much a move in that holding moves you: if a 30% holding falls 10% and nothing else changes, the portfolio falls 3%.
