Your 7-day free trial starts when your account opens, with everything in the app. See Plans and trial.
2. Your portfolio
Section titled “2. Your portfolio”A portfolio called My portfolio and a watchlist are made for you. To add another portfolio (up to 20), choose New portfolio and give it a name and, if you like, Starting cash — recorded as a deposit made today. Portfolios are in US dollars.
3. Put in what you own
Section titled “3. Put in what you own”Three ways, which you can mix.
Import your broker’s statement. Choose Import statement, pick your broker, the portfolio and your monthly statements (PDF, several at once is fine). You then review every row before anything is saved: untick what you don’t want, correct what is wrong; rows already in the portfolio are left out for you, and the result is checked against each statement’s closing positions and cash. The files are read and discarded, never stored. One broker’s statements are supported today, with more to come.
Add a trade. On Transactions, choose + Transaction: buy or sell, price, shares, commission and date. Any past date works — the history is recalculated from it.
Add cash. Choose + Cash movement: a deposit, a withdrawal, a dividend (before tax, with the tax withheld) or a transfer between your portfolios.
4. Read your dashboard
Section titled “4. Read your dashboard”| What it is | |
|---|---|
| Total value | Your holdings at today’s prices, plus cash |
| Day P/L | What your holdings gained or lost in today’s regular session |
| Total P/L | Total value minus the money you put in (deposits less withdrawals) |
| Invested | What the shares you still hold cost you |
| Available cash | Cash in the portfolio now |
| Unrealized P/L | Profit or loss on shares you still hold |
| Realized P/L | Profit or loss locked in by your sales |
Each one is defined exactly in How your numbers are calculated.
